Revealed: Kremlin exploited “legal loopholes” to influence Brexit vote, ex-MI6 spy claims in new podcast episode
Catch the scoop in the latest episode of 'Sergei & The Westminster Spy Ring', hosted by Carole Cadwalladr and Peter Jukes.

Evidence of the payoffs was given to a parliamentary committee investigating Russian interference in UK politics. Their findings, that formed the Russia Report, were blocked before the crucial 2019 general election by then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Christopher Steele, an MI6 intelligence officer for 22 years, made the stunning claim in our podcast. It’s the first time that details contained within the still-classified index of the Russia Report have been made public.
The full report is still redacted, but Steele reveals in this week’s episode that there was specific information that he supplied to the committee that came from inside Russia: ‘There was definitely money involved,’ he says.

Carole, Peter and Sergei are closing in on the core of the Russian Westminster plot as they untangle the secrets around the parliamentary Russia Report.
With Dominic Grieve, the former Conservative Attorney General and chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament, which produced the groundbreaking report, and two of the Committee’s key witnesses - Edward Lucas and Christopher Steele - they discover almost everything we need to know to answer some of the big questions about the significance of the Russia covert interference operation in the British democratic processes.
And about the lengths to which the powers that be, for their own political reasons, went to cover this whole thing up from the watchful eye of the British electorate.
In this episode, you also hear from journalist and author Catherine Belton, writer and historian Anne Applebaum, and former Intelligence and Security Committee members Stewart Hosie and Kevan Jones.
